Scenes from Sylvia

On September 19, 2008 the Black Bottom Biscuits experienced the pleasure of playing at the Sylvia Theater in York, South Carolina. We opened for, and played with our great friends in The Bill Noonan Band. We had too much fun not share these memories with our website fans. And since many of our readers don't get to see what goes on backstage, we are including a few extra "scenes" and commentary about our show. Hope you enjoy!

For the Sylvia show, the Black Bottom Biscuits pulled our all of our "guns" to travel from the Columbia area to York SC. We loaded up our tour bus with Trevor Michael playing harmonica, Allen Hinnant playing dobro and lap steel, and George Fulton on drums.

 Backstage at the Sylvia Theater

For those of you who have never been "backstage", it's not all glam and glitter before a show. A lot of hardwork and thought goes in before we take the stage. Musicians tune, change strings, and play a few songs to refresh our memory - or at least Bill's band does....T-Van, Ace and the Professor are busy "honing in the skills" in their own way....

We brought all of the shinny jackets we could find for this show. As we say, folks will at least remember how good we looked!

 The Headliners..

County Bill and Western Bill really know how to play some sweet sounds together. What a great show the Bill Noonan Band played for everyone. If you have never seen or heard of this terrific band, they are highly recommended by the Biscuits.
